Using Blackboard to Get to Your Course
- Log in to Blackboard to find your online course(s).
- Log in with your MDC username (for example, jane.doe001) and password.
- To view all of your classes, click on the ‘Courses’ link in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
- Click on the course link that appears under ‘My Courses’ (e.g., ENC1101-2203-0110)
- Begin exploring the content of your course by using the menu bar on the left side of your screen.
- Begin by reviewing the syllabus, and then proceed by clicking on the course content.
Students can take one online course, an entire two-year or four-year degree, or a combination of the two.

How to login MDC Blackboard
The MDC blackboard sign process is outlined below:
- Open your web browser and navigate to mdc.blackboard.com.
- Enter your Miami Dade College login username, such as firstname.lastname@example.org.
- In the next field, type your password.
- Click Sign in to gain access to your MDC LMS course.
How to Register for an MDC Student Account
You will be unable to access and use the many features on the blackboard without a Miami Dade College or student account. Before you can create an account, you must provide the following information: Social Security Number or Student Number, First Name, Last Name, and Date of Birth.
Once you’ve sorted them out, enrolling as an MDC student will be a piece of cake. The system will want to know who you are, so enter your information in the appropriate text boxes.
- Go to the MDC student account sign-up page to get started.
- On the newly opened page, click the Continue button.
- As previously discussed, provide the following information. If you forgot your Student ID, write it in the box below it.
- To proceed to the next phase, click Continue.
- Accept the computing policies of the MDC.
- To keep your account secure, create a very strong password.
- Make up a challenge question and an answer. If you forget your password, you can use this to reset it.
- After that, you will be given your MyMDC username and MyMDC student email account.
How to Reset a Lost Password
If you attempted to log into your MDC blackboard account but were unable to do so due to an incorrect password. You can always reset it.
- Navigate to www.mdc.edu/password and select the Reset Forgotten Password option.
- Enter your MDC ID/SSN, Username, Password, and Date of Birth.
- Select Change Password.
- An email with a link to reset your password will be sent to your email address.
How Can I Change My Password?
Students can also change their password if there is unauthorized access to their MDC blackboard account for any reason.
- In your browser, go to www.mdc.edu/password and click Change my password.
- Enter the necessary information, including your current and new passwords.
